DAC 10.1.3.4 and 10.1.3.4.1. INSTALLATION

 Prerequisites for Installing DAC:

        Prerequisites for installing the DAC Client and Server on Windows and the DAC
Server on Linux are the following:
■ Installation of Informatica 7.X or Informatica 8.X
Note:
              For Windows, the DAC Client and Server will be installed.
              For Linux, the DAC Server will be installed.
              The DAC Client can only run on Windows.
Go to The Location Where Oracle Universal Installer Existed,
 
Now Double Click it,

 
Note:This Universal Installer Does'nt Run On Linux Machine...
 

                                                               In This Step, the DAC installer asks for the location of Oracle Home. Note that, the installer is not asking for an exiting Oracle (Database) home. Instead, the installer is asking for the location where DAC has to be installed.
 
 
 Note:DAC Installer Does Not Provide an Informatica 9.x Option
                       The DAC 10.1.3.4.1 installer prompted users to indicate if the Informatica version used in their deployment is version 7.x or version 8.x. There is no option forInformatica version 9.x.
Users installing DAC 10.1.3.4.1 for use with BI Applications 7.9.6.3 are recommended to choose Informatica version 8.x when prompted even though the actual Informatica version deployed for use in BI Applications 7.9.6.3 is Informatica version 9.x.

    i am not able to find the informatica domain file above mentioned on 5th step iam also completed the installation of informatica 9.0.1 version

    Mr Reddy You Can Find Domain File in...

    C(The Drive Where U Installed Informatica):\Informatica\9.0.1

    Else

    C:\Informatica\9.0.1\clients\PowerCenterClient

    Hi Ravi I'm trying to install DAC 10.1.3.4 on Windows XP 32bit
    When I double click on 11g setup.exe I'm getting the error message as: "java runtime environment was not found at bin\javaw.exe.Hence, Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run" ..Tried setting the exact JRE path under C:\dac\Disk1\install\win32\oraparam.ini file and JAVA_HOME paths are set in the environment variables but still no luck..Any Suggestions?

    Hi Kranthi,

    You can install either 10g or 11g with informatica 9.1
